MARKET REVIEW
The JCI slipped 0.10% to 6,535 after falling as much as 2.6% to 6,371 intraday. The late rebound followed President Prabowo’s appointment of Suahasil Nazara as finance minister, replacing Purbaya, which investors read positively for fiscal-policy credibility. BBRI (+19.08 points), BBCA (+15.53), AMMN (+10.17) and BMRI (+6.57) led the rebound, partly offsetting BYAN (-20.48) and EMAS (-9.83). Turnover reached IDR 18.03tn on 35.69bn shares.
Regional markets were mixed: Hang Seng rose 0.45% and ASX 200 added 0.10%, while Nikkei fell 0.81%, Sensex 0.16%, SET 0.84% and KOSPI 3.26%. Investors remained cautious amid high oil prices and US solar-panel tariffs.
Europe opened softer: EuroStoxx 50 slipped 0.98%, CAC 40 lost 0.58% and DAX fell 0.27%, while FTSE 100 was flat. Brent rose 2.71% to USD 104.61/barrel, sustaining inflation concerns.
