Market Review
The Jakarta Composite Index on Friday, June 12, 2026 opened higher and extended gains through the morning session, hitting an intraday high near 6,074 before easing toward the close. The index settled up 2.07% (+121.6 pts) to 6,007.66, with broad advances in Energy, Basic Materials, and Industrials. Net foreign inflow was contained at IDR 287.4 billion.
Asian equity markets closed strongly higher, led by the KOSPI (+4.63%), Nikkei 225 (+2.81%), Hang Seng (+1.93%), and Sensex (+2.30%). SET Thailand and ASX 200 also gained. Risk sentiment improved on reports the US and Iran are nearing a Strait of Hormuz deal ahead of next week’s G7 summit.
European markets opened firmer, with FTSE 100 up 1.10% and EuroStoxx 50 gaining 1.90%, extending Asia’s positive tone. Brent crude was at USD 90.38 per barrel. The rupiah strengthened to IDR 17,993 per USD, aided by capital inflows following Bank Indonesia’s recent off-cycle rate hike.
