MARKET REVIEW
The JCI rose 0.46% to 6,037, recovering from a morning slide below 6,000 as the rupiah firmed on easing US Treasury yields ahead of US payroll data. Heavyweights BBCA, DCII and ASII led the rebound, while GOTO bounced 7.14% after its slump, offsetting early pressure from AMMN, TPIA and CUAN.
Asian markets were mixed as swings in global bonds, with US Treasury yields near multi-decade highs, kept investors cautious before US payrolls. The Hang Seng fell 2.60% and the Nikkei 0.94%, while the KOSPI rose 0.46% and the ASX 200 0.79%.
European markets opened slightly higher as investors positioned ahead of the US nonfarm payrolls report. The STOXX 600 gained 0.25%, the DAX 0.22% and the CAC 40 0.16%, while the FTSE 100 was flat.
