MARKET REVIEW
Wall Street ended mixed Friday as the S&P 500 gained 0.17% and the Nasdaq rose 0.39%, supported by semiconductors, while the Dow slipped 0.18%. Treasury yields approached 5% after the Federal Reserve raised rates. European markets weakened on global tightening concerns, with the FTSE 100 down 1.45% and Euro Stoxx 50 off 1.37%.
Brent steadied near USD 104/barrel as traders balanced regional supply risks against diplomatic efforts, while WTI slipped below USD 100/barrel. Brent fell 0.10% to USD 103.76/barrel and WTI declined 0.30% to USD 99.99/barrel. Gold eased 0.28% to USD 4,378.40/oz as rate expectations pressured demand.
The JCI slipped 0.33% to 6,441 after reversing an early gain, with foreign investors recording net sales of IDR 1.78tn. The rupiah strengthened slightly to IDR 17,742/USD, while heavyweight bank declines offset a sharp rally in BYAN.
