KEY HIGHLIGHTS
- Aug-26 net profit IDR 607Bn, +11.7% MoM, carried by provisions of IDR 71Bn against IDR 212Bn in July. PPOP fell 6.3% to IDR 871Bn as revenue slipped and costs rose.
- Cost of funds rose to 2.92% from 2.66% in July, the first month of 2026 above a year earlier. Profit-sharing paid to depositors jumped 9.0% MoM while time deposits fell, so the existing book is repricing.
- 8M26 net profit IDR 5.3Tn, +10.1% YoY, RoE 15.9% against 15.7%. Financing grew 16.2% YoY, yet net financing income rose only 6.0% as the margin fell to 5.3%, below the FY26 floor of above 5.5%. Credit cost eased to 0.59%.
- Our read: volume and fees are working, the margin is not. Funding keeps repricing and provisions carry profit. 8M26 net profit is 61.9% of FY26F consensus against a 66.7% pace, so we see downside risk to the FY26 consensus. At 1.41x P/BV, below its five-year -2SD, much of that looks discounted. Key watch: whether the cost of funds stops rising in September.
