KEY HIGHLIGHTS
- Aug-26 net profit rose 88.0% MoM to IDR 494Bn and 13.8% YoY, as provisions fell to IDR 56Bn from IDR 386Bn in July. PPOP slipped 5.4% MoM to IDR 680Bn.
- Aug-26 NII fell 5.4% MoM to IDR 986Bn as interest expense rose to IDR 948Bn, taking annualised NIM to 3.5% from 3.7%. 8M26 net profit fell 6.7% YoY to IDR 3.9Tn; 8M26 RoE on tangible equity is 11.2% against 12.8%.
- Aug-26 loans slipped 1.0% MoM to IDR 228Tn, flat since Dec-25 against 3% to 5% FY26 guidance. Allowances fell IDR 480Bn to IDR 3.9Tn, cutting cover to 1.7% of loans.
- Our read: a better month for profit, a weaker one for the business. The rebound is provision-led; NII and PPOP both fell. 8M26 net profit is 55.7% of FY26F consensus against a 66.7% pace on a Bank Only basis, so we see downside risk to that consensus. At 0.77x P/BV, on its five-year mean, the lower return is not discounted. Key watch: whether September provisions stay near August’s level and funding cost stops rising.
