• BBNI posted IDR 21.46T net profit in 2024
Bank Negara Indonesia (BBNI) has recorded a net profit of IDR 21.46T in 2024 (+2.7% yoy),
supported by non-interest income, which grew by 11.9% yoy to IDR 24R. On the other hand,
BNI’s net interest income was corrected by around 1.9% yoy to IDR 40.48T. The high-interest
regime in 2024 has increased the interest burden on several banks, including BNI. During
this period, BNI’s interest expenses increased by 29.2% yoy to IDR 26.1T. Meanwhile, BNI
recorded credit growth throughout 2024 of around 11.6% yoy to IDR 775.87T, higher than the
industry which recorded credit growth of only 10.39% yoy. BBNI’s Third Party Funds (DPK) in
that period also experienced a correction of up to 0.6% yoy to IDR 805.51T. As a result, BNI’s
Loan Deposit Ratio (LDR) appears to be tightening to 96.1%. As a comparison, in the previous
year’s period, BNI’s LDR was still at 85.8%. (Kontan)
• DATA intensifies business expansion after Djarum Group enters
After Sarana Menara Nusantara (TOWR) owned by Djarum Group through Iforte Solusi
Infotek, officially announced that it will acquire Remala Abadi (DATA), this company
continues to deploy networks and expand its business. Most recently, Remala collaborated
with Cikarang International City (Cinity) to deploy a fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network.
Through this collaboration, DATA can build a fiber optic network and provide FTTH services
in the areas that will be built by Cinity. Cinity will get benefits in the form of revenue shares.
DATA will also provide CCTV installed both in the cluster and on the main road. In the initial
stage, DATA plans to provide an FTTH network in all units built by Cinity. The number of
homepasses in Cinity reached 13,000. DATA can build and provide broadband networks in
commercial places built by Pertiwi Sejati Estate, the holding company of Cinity such as in the
Bekasi, Karawang, and Subang districts. It is hoped that this collaboration with Pertiwi Sejati
Estate, DATA can achieve the development target of up to 500,000 homepasses. With iForte
entering as a strategic investor, they are very optimistic about meeting the needs of Pertiwi

• HERO expands Guardian to tier 2 and tier 3 cities
Guardian, a retail business managed by DFI Retail Nusantara (HERO), is aggressively
expanding to various areas in tier one to tier three cities. Managing Director of Guardian
Indonesia, Anna Hull, said the company continues to grow its retail store business while
developing online sales channels. On this occasion, Guardian Indonesia’s Head of Marketing,
Malvin Tarigan, explained that the company still relies on sales channels from physical stores
(offline). However, the company also utilizes omnichannel, namely integration between sales
channels from physical stores and online stores. Malvin estimates that the reopening of the
Guardian flagship store will increase revenue and contribute positively to the company’s
financial performance. In addition, the company targets increasing off-sales through the
flagship store. Currently, Guardian’s physical stores are spread across more than 350 stores
throughout Indonesia. The company plans to expand to tier 2 and tier 3 cities, apart from
focusing its store network in tier 1 cities. Apart from that, this company plans to reopen the
