Towards the end of the license with Ace Hardware Corporation, Aspirasi Hidup Indonesia (ACES) has taken a strategy by changing the company name and launching a new company logo which is different from the one previously used by Ace Hardware in the US. ACES management confirmed that so far there has been no change to the outlet name. However, in the future, the company will provide further updated information. According to management, the aim of changing the name was to reflect the company’s more comprehensive role, beyond just offering products for home improvement. Along with the name change, the company allocated funds for various rebranding purposes including communication through various appropriate media to stakeholders, compliance with regulators, as well as company legality. Buyung Poetra Sembada (HOKI) is increasingly focused on boosting sales of alternative healthy rice products through its subsidiary, Hoki Distribution Niaga (HDN) in 2024. In 1H24, sales of Dailymeal products rose 145% yoy to IDR 5.4B, far exceeding the target of 10% growth this year. The large market acceptance and current changes in people’s lifestyles have convinced HOKI to accelerate business transformation to the FMCG sector. HOKI has also prepared a capex of around IDR 12B to build a new factory in Central Java. The new Dailymeal factory is planned to start operating in mid-2025. Telkom Indonesia (TLKM) through its subsidiary Telkom Data Ekosistem plans to develop data center business units, both micro and hyperscale. TLKM has set a target to increase data center capacity to 400 MegaWatt (MW)–500 MW by 2030 in line with the rapid growth of artificial intelligence (AI) which requires high data consumption. This target will be driven by constructing a hyperscale data center in Batam. To achieve this target, the company will also look for data centers in regions such as the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore. In 1H24, TLKM has made preparations to approach several potential partners, which is expected to be completed this year. The company has operated 32 data centers across the country and abroad, including Singapore, Hong Kong, and Timor Leste. (Kontan)
