• AMRT closed 400 outlets this year
Sumber Alfaria Trijaya (AMRT) announced it has closed about 400 outlets so far this year.
AMRT’s Corporate Affairs Director, Solihin, said the closure occurred due to losses
experienced by the outlet concerned. Meanwhile, one of the causes was due to high rental
costs, while sales weakened. On the one hand, Alfamart continues to open outlets in other
areas. This year’s target of opening 800 new outlets has been exceeded. According to him,
this also happened to cover the difference between closed outlets. Despite closing hundreds
of outlets, Alfamart still posted a revenue of IDR 88.21T (+10.23% yoy) and a net profit of IDR
2.39T in 9M24 (+9.52% yoy). (Bisnis Indonesia)
