KEY HIGHLIGHTS
- 2Q26 revenue IDR 122 Bn, -5.3% QoQ but +11.1% YoY, bringing 1H26 revenue to IDR 251 Bn (+19.3% YoY), equivalent to 48% of our FY26F — in-line with our estimates. The QoQ decline came entirely from Forklift Rental (-5.1% QoQ) after a stronger 1Q26, while both segments still expanded on a YoY basis.
- Margins expanded across the board in 2Q26, with gross margin at 54.0% (+15.7pp QoQ), operating margin at 43.0% (+12.9pp QoQ), and EBITDA margin at 71.0% (+15.2pp QoQ). Operating income reached 54% of FY26F, a beat, while NPM held at 24.0%, confirming the margin recovery we highlighted in our initiating coverage.
- Forklift Sales posted 68.8% YoY growth in 1H26 to IDR 11 Bn, reaching 47% of our FY26F and remaining in line with management’s expansion target for 2026.
- Our read: operational recovery remains intact. Revenue tracking is in line, while profitability continues to outperform. Despite this, SMIL trades at 23.9x FY26F P/E, broadly in line with its three-year average, leaving room for further re-rating as margin normalization persists. Key watch: sustainability of the 24% NPM into 2H26.
