KEY HIGHLIGHTS
- Aug-26 net profit IDR 3.9Tn, up 16.1% MoM, lifted by a lighter IDR 3.1Tn provision charge while PPOP was flat at IDR 7.9Tn. Against Aug-25 it was 3.0% lower, as interest expense jumped 13.6% YoY and interest income rose only 2.0%.
- 8M26 net profit IDR 34.8Tn, up 6.6% YoY, RoE 17.5% against 16.6%, from a larger loan book and 3.2% lower opex, while asset yield fell to 8.8% from 9.8% and NIM to 6.2% from 6.7%.
- Time deposits up 15.0% YoY against CASA up 11.3%, CASA ratio 64.8% from 65.6%. Cost of funding has turned, 3.8% in Aug-26 against 3.7% a year ago. Loans up 13.7% YoY; reserve cover eased to 5.3% from 5.7%.
- Our read: earnings hold, the margin does not. Provisions and costs carry profit while funding gets dearer. 8M26 net profit is at 59.0% of FY26F consensus against a 66.7% pace (Bank Only vs consolidated). At 1.47x P/BV, below its five-year -1SD of 1.78x, much is discounted. Key watch: whether NII steadies in September.
