MARKET REVIEW
Wall Street recovered, with the S&P 500 up 0.46%, Nasdaq gaining 0.45%, and Dow Jones rising 0.56%. European markets were softer: the FTSE 100 fell 0.30% and EuroStoxx 50 declined 0.11%. Asian equities weakened broadly, led by losses in Korea and Japan, while the MSCI Emerging Markets index fell 1.55%.
Brent settled at USD 95.63/barrel, up 1.04%, as renewed US-Iran hostilities sustained concern over disruption around the Strait of Hormuz. WTI traded near USD 90.74/barrel after a three-day rally. Gold rose 0.42% to USD 4,399/oz, supported by a softer dollar and investors assessing the Federal Reserve policy path.
