MARKET REVIEW
Wall Street rose as technology shares gained momentum ahead of Nvidia’s results, reinforcing optimism around AI demand. The S&P 500 advanced 0.72%, Nasdaq gained 1.57%, and Dow Jones rose 0.20%. In Europe, FTSE 100 fell 0.79% and EuroStoxx 50 declined 0.71% amid mixed risk sentiment.
WTI traded near USD 83.71/barrel, while Brent settled 2.1% higher at USD 89.70/barrel as prospects for a US-Iran agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz faded. Gold was broadly flat at USD 4,625.70/oz as investors weighed the Fed-rate outlook ahead of Jackson Hole.
The JCI closed up 1.81% at 6,522, led by SRAJ, BRMS, DSSA and BRPT. The rupiah weakened to IDR 17,726/USD, while foreign investors recorded net buys of IDR 36.77bn. Trading value totaled IDR 13.70tn.
