MARKET REVIEW
Wall Street rebounded as the US Treasury’s plan to increase long-dated bond buybacks eased pressure on yields. The S&P 500 rose 0.21%, the Nasdaq gained 0.16% and the Dow Jones advanced 0.22%. In Europe, the EuroStoxx 50 fell 0.37%, while the FTSE 100 gained 0.14%, amid mixed regional sentiment.
WTI traded at USD 84.28/barrel, while Brent settled at USD 91.62/barrel, up 0.7%, as the US-Iran standoff and constrained Strait of Hormuz traffic supported oil. Gold rallied 3.2% as lower long-term yields, a weaker dollar and policy volatility improved demand for the metal.
The JCI closed down 0.86% at 6,394, led lower by BYAN, AMMN and CASA. The rupiah strengthened to IDR 17,833/USD, while foreign investors recorded net sells of IDR 488.49 bn. Trading value totaled IDR 14.28 tn.
